August Goals

Okay so we’re in August already- how has this happened?! I swear it was January like two minutes ago!

Time never used to go this quickly when I was a kid…or maybe it did and it was just that I didn’t mind it going quickly. I basically used to wish my life away so I could finish school and get out of such a toxic environment.

So anyway onto goals. I didn’t really manage tohit any my July Goals, my eating is still not back to what it should be and even though I’ve been working out, I’ve still not lost any weight or toned up.

I finished uni with a merit rather than a distinction but considering how it’s worked out I never could have achieved this goal anyway. I did get a distinction on my final major project though so that’s good enough of me!

August Goals

So my goals for this month are…

01. Start swimming. I actually can’t swim properly, I can do a sort of doggy paddle and breaststroke mix but that’s it. My parents couldn’t afford to get me lessons as a kid so the first time I went swimming properly was at 11 when we had to go with school. Being one of the few people that had to wear armbands was seriously embarrassing and did nothing for the bullying. So I’ve decided that I’m going to teach myself to swim properly and it’s a great way to exercise!

02. Enjoy London. I’m going down to London with Abby for a long weekend at the end of the month and I’ve been looking forward to it for nearly a year now! My anxiety has been getting worse these last few months so I’m hoping it’s not going to ruin the trip by freaking out in the middle of London or something like that. We’re going to do the Warner Bros Harry Potter tour and I can’t wait!! I’ve wanted to do this ever since I first heard of it and now I’m finally going to be going! Prepare yourself for lots of pictures over on Instagram and I’m even considering vlogging the whole trip. Don’t hold me to that one as I don’t know if I have the guts to do that just yet.

03. Keep up with my skincare regime. I’ve been using the Aloe Vera range from The Body Shop and I’m loving how smooth it is making my skin! I’ve used their stuff for a while but only infrequently so this month I decided I’m going to use them daily. I picked up a kit on Saturday so I’ve got all new products and no excuse to not do it!

04. Stop stressing about my future! Now I’m the girl who always has a plan. For everything. So being without a plan for my future is freaking me the F out! But I’m getting sick of worrying over everything, it’s starting to make me ill so my goal for this month is to just let things be. That doesn’t mean I’m going to stop looking for a job or considering my options for uni, just that I’m going to stop being so obsessive over it and actually live in the moment. Thank goodness for mindfulness!
So those are my goals for this month! What are yours?

Yess, great goals and I’ve got some of the same. I still don’t know how to swim either so one of these days I’m definitely going to have to learn too! & it’s so good to try and be spontaneous, just take life as it comes because where you end up is exactly where you’re supposed to be, it’s a loong journey 😀 xxx

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who can’t swim! 🙂 yes I need to stop stressing so much, it’s not healthy! I used to be so angry that things hadn’t gone as planned, especially since I could have prevented it if I’d not been so ill. But I’ve now learnt to just accept life as it comes and trust it is for the best 🙂 xxx

Love this post, feel like I need to start making more goals in life. I’ve never been one for doing this, perhaps now is the time to change!

Thank you 🙂 I never did till I started blogging, I find it a good way to hold myself accountable, motivate myself to try and do them & a way of telling myself what I want to get done 🙂 I’d definitely recommend giving it a go, you’ve nothing to loose!
