September Goals

Erm so it’s September already.
This has really caught me by surprise, I don’t know why since I knew I was going to London at the end of the month and the first weekend in September I was off to go see Busted in Scarborough so you’d think I’d be a bit more prepared but apparently not!

September Goals

So as you may have read in my August Goals I planned on starting to go swimming…yeah…that one didn’t happen! I did go to get my discount card which means I can get in cheaper but I still haven’t worked up the guts to actually go on my own. I don’t get all the different types of swimming that they do either so it’s hard to work out which ones I can go to and which ones I can’t. I still want to go but I think I might need someone to come with me for that first time…whoever said you’re an adult at 22 was clearly lying!

Goal number two was to enjoy my trip to London for ForAllThatWanderand oh man I did! I’ve already wrote a post all about that which I’ll link here so that the people who have already read that post won’t have to read the same thing twice!

I also wanted to keep up with my new Skincare Routine and I’m proud (and a little surprised) to say that I’ve managed it! Okay sit there have been times when I’ve not been able to for one reason or another, but I think that in all honesty I’ve only missed two or three days all month!

My final goal was to stop stressing so much about my future. HA! When I wrote this post I’d not even applied for university and in the 30 days that have followed I’ve applied for a course I didn’t think I had a hope in hell of getting on and actually been accepted!!

Again: Go me!

So now I’m not stressing about what I’m going to do with my future…I’m stressed about how I’m going to cope with a real university! Still I’m classing this goal as achieved.

So what are my goals for this month?

01. Make a good first impression at uni. I’ve got my induction date for the 20th September so they will be a bit of a latter end goal but it’s an important one. I don’t socialize well in new situations, my anxiety doesn’t let me. Plus I’m going into the second year rather than the first so the people in the classes with me will have all known each other for a year and I’ll probably be the only new one in there. Let’s just say that I’m trying not to think about any of this or I really will freak out!

02. Keep up with the skincare routine. I’m adding this one again because I have noticed such a difference since I started doing it! Not only does my skin look and feel healthier but I’ve also noticed less redness which means I don’t need anywhere near as much foundation as I used to do- I can even go without wearing it if I’m just nipping out somewhere which is something I never used to do!

03. Go to the gym. This one is again going to happen towards the end of the month again because it involves uni. They have a gym there which is only like $150n for a whole year! And oh wow does it look awesome, full of new equipment and you can even get a personal trainer to help you. Hopefully I’ll be able to loose this extra two stone and get back down to a weight I’m happy with in a few months! I know I’ll be busy with uni but I do hope I’ll be able to go at least once a week.

04. Socialise more. I don’t just mean meet up with friends and go out with them. I mean actually just talk to people in general and join in with things like blogger chats more actively and more often than I have been. Its already been an unofficial goal and I hit over 500 followers after a #thegirlgang chat earlier in the month when I mentioned I found it difficult to make friends because of my Aspergers. I had such a positive response from the community and it really meant a lot to me! That night alone I gained about 25 followers and they have all ended up being bloggers and business owners that I enjoy talking to and engaging with regularly. Since then I have gained nearly 80 followers in maybe two weeks!

So those are my main goals for this month. I do have others but they’re minor, ongoing or a bit too personal to share on here, I’m sure you can understand me not putting those on. We all need our privacy and secrets after all!

    This is a brilliant set of goals!

    I have to help your anxiety a little though
    1. Universities are HUGE. Even though your going into second year it really doesn’t mean everyone will know eachother! Honestly, there will be people who didn’t live in halls that commute in, who are returning to uni after a year out, classes may have completely shuffled around etc so honestly, some may know eachother but if you go in being you you’ll make new friends in no time!

    Skincare routines are so important for self care so I’m very proud of you for keeping it up and making it an ongoing goal!

    And socialising more on and offline is a great goal. I’ll join you with that one! We can both join in with girlgang chats and interact more online, something I’ve been too busy with my videos to do. This was such an inspiring read! Xx

    Thank you so much Hannah! That’s just the logic I needed!! I really hope your right 🙂 if not I’ll just go hide in the HUGE library and burry myself in books haha
    The skincare has improved my self confidence so much, it’s little things that can help the most!
    And awesome! 🙂 I need to set a reminder on my phone or something as I always forget they’re on as I get wrapped up in something else lol we can help and encourage each other 🙂

    The new skim care routine sounds good, I love my Micellar water! Especially the oil infused one.
    I’ve just started one myself, with body shop products, a new routine is always so nice. Well done on only missing a few days. Going to the gym more really needs to be on my goals list too! Good luck achieving them all.
