Weekly Roundup | 06.11.16
So not only is this post going out later than normal but it’s also going to be a lot shorter too, I feel like I’ve really dropped the ball with my blog this week!
I’ve been ill for most of this last week, hence the lack of blog and social media post so in a way I don’t really have much to say in this weekly roundup, unless I bitch about how crap migraines and daytime TV are.
Which for the record are really really crap!
So this week I’ve finally decided to try to get some help with uni. I hate having to admit I need help but having constant panic attacks and stress migraines for the past few weeks has really had to make me swallow my pride and admit I need a little help. I’ve not been struggling with the work as such, more with the social anxiety of having to go in and the snide comments I’ve been getting off of a few people in the class. But the biggest problem I have is that we have to make a short film for one of the models and the thought of actually having to go out and film in public is setting my anxiety off so badly.
Really ironic since the film is actually about social anxiety and trying to raise awareness about it!
I’ve not heard anything back as of yet but I’ll keep you posted on if they actually do anything to help. I’m thinking they will as the lady I was speaking to seemed really understanding and like she wanted to help. Fingers crossed!
Secondly I’ve actually started one of my November Goals: To go swimming each week! I’ve been this morning and it was brilliant, not too tiring (although I did have the expected asthma attack) and it felt like it gave my whole body a bit of a work out all at once. We were planning on going twice a week and also trial Zumba too but there is no way in hell I can afford that- swimming alone is £3.80 p/h and then Zumba would be another £5 a week!
Doctors and politicians are always going on about how they want us to exercise more and get healthy but then they charge a ridiculous about of money for activities that help you do that! No wonder no one does it, you sure as hell can’t manage it on a student loan. Even if I got a membership it would still cost me £30 a month, then I have £80 a month just on travel, plus rent & daily living expenses…how on earth do they expect you to actually live these days?!
Anyway onto this weeks links. Normally I write a description about why I love a particular link but in all honesty I don’t think that’s always necessary- most of the time the title says it all really. Let me know if you prefer it this way or the way I usually do it, I’d love to know what you think.
