Good morning and happy Sunday!
I can’t believe I managed to get a fairly good nights sleep last night as I’m so frigging hyper right now!
Why you may be asking?
Because today is the day when I finally get to go see Billy Connolly live!!
Oh my days this has been a dream of mine since I was 10/11 years old and first saw him on DVD. I won’t go into the whole story of how this man quite literally saved my life, I wrote a post about that the day after I bought the tickets [Dear Diary: I’m going to see Billy Connolly] which you can have a noise at if you’re interested!
I’m hoping to snap a lot of the day so feel free to add me on Snapchat to follow along, my username is Itsjademarie and I’ll put a picture of my Snapcode below too.
I do want to be serious for a moment though as well: today in the UK (I’m not sure about other places) is Remembrance Sunday. A time to reflect on the sacrifices made by so many people, not just in the World Wars but also in more recent conflicts.
This day should be used to think about the sacrifices they have made for us, so that we are safe and free. I also would urge people to think about these people’s families too, they give up so much as well: they give up partners, sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, aunts, uncles, cousins & friends and I don’t think this really gets mentioned as much as it should do.
Spare a thought for those who have to keep living after their loved ones have passed on.
On this topic I’m only going to have one link today and that is to a vlog made by Jazza. If you’re a regular on my blog you’ll have seen me mention him a few times as he’s a really funny and inspirational guy.
Today I’m mentioning him because he made a vlog that is really thought provoking, especially with what happened earlier this week in the US.
I won’t say anymore, the video says it all ten times better than I ever could.
